Puerto Princesa still RPís most peaceful city PDF Print E-mail

PUERTO PRINCESA - Aside from being the cleanest and most environment-friendly city in the Philippines, Puerto Princesa is still the most peaceful among the urban centers in the country.

Mayor Edward Hagedorn said the city has the lowest crime rate and highest crime solution efficiency compared to other urban centers in the country.

Early this year, the city Police Station adjudged as the “Best City Police Station” in Region IV-B or Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan) because of its commendable achievements in all forms of criminality.

The city policemen led by Supt. David Martinex, chief of police, was able to sustain the peace and security of the city where Crime Solution Efficiency (CSE) recently posted 99. 33 percent.

Despite the stable peace and order, Hagedorn challenged Supt. Martinez to conduct more police visibility and patrolling to prevent crimes, especially now that the city is under highly urbanized category.

He disclosed that barangay tanods will also be trained on how to monitor and report criminalities in their localities. (PNA)
