Tuesday, 01 April 2008

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, March 31 (PNA) -- Over 300 businessmen from different provinces in the country will converge here to attend the 17th South Luzon Area Business Conference scheduled on May 29-30, 2008 to be held at the Legend Hotel this city.

The annual gathering is organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Col. Pacifico Lumauag, Jr. (ret.), president of Palawan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), said the PCCI is proud to host the conference in Palawan, the country’s “last frontier”.

Lumauag said the participants, aside from attending the seminar, will be treated on the province’s exotic islands, unspoiled beaches, world class diving sites, lush virgin forest, endemic flora and fauna, waterfalls and hotsprings.

The city pride, “Underground River”, the world’s longest navigable underground river, is also worth seeing.

He said PCCI is a non-stock, non-profit and non-government organization of small, medium and large enterprises, business councils and industry associations representing various sectors of business.

He said they have committed themselves into working together to foster a healthy Philippine economy and to improve the viability of business.(PNA)
