Holy Wednesday sea departures placed at 68,025 PDF Print E-mail

MANILA, April 16 (PNA) -- A total of 68,025 seagoing passengers have sailed through 41 of the country's domestic ports this Holy Wednesday, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported.

Cmdr. Armand Balilo, Coast Guard spokesman, said this information is under their 'Oplan Ligtas Biyahe Kwaresma 2014".

As of this posting, Coast Guard District National Capital Region-Central Luzon has reported 440 departures and this can be broken down into: Manila - 157, Laguna De Bay - 129, and Subic - 154;

Coast Guard District Central Visayas - 13,910 and this can be subdivided into: Cebu - 8,833, Tagbilaran - 1,411, and Dumaguete - 3,666;

Coast Guard District Southwestern Mindanao - 2,414 and all from Zamboanga.

Coast Guard District Palawan recorded 1,541 departures and this can be broken down into: Puerto Princesa - 851, El Nido - 319, Cuyo - 248, Coron - 90, and Brooke's Point - 33;

Coast Guard District Southern Tagalog reported 12,675 departures and this can be divided into: Batangas - 6,923, Calapan - 3,020, Lucena - 1,339, Mamburao - 592, Romblon - 730, and Puerto Real - 71;

Coast Guard District Western Visayas recorded 18,749 and this can be tallied with: Iloilo - 11,445, Bacolod - 1,911, Roxas - 12, and Caticlan - 5,381;

Coast Guard Northwestern Luzon reported 710 and all of these are from Sual.

Coast Guard Southeastern Mindanao - 3,932 and all from Davao.

Coast Guard District Bicol recorded 4,525 departures and this can be broken down into: Albay - 259, Sorsogon - 2,284, Camarines Sur - 769, Masbate - 1,199, and Catanduanes - 14;

Coast Guard District Northern Mindanao - 7,373 and these can be divided with: Cagayan De Oro - 2,504, Surigao - 1,649, Iligan - 1,318, Butuan - 267, Dapitan - 173, and Ozamiz - 1,462;

Coast Guard District Northeastern Luzon recorded 577 departures and this can be divided with: Aparri having 394, and Basco 183;

Coast Guard District Eastern Visayas reported 1,179 passengers leaving from its areas of jurisdiction and this can be tallied with: Catbalogan having 724, Tacloban - 124, Ormoc - 195, and Maasin - 136. (PNA)
